Is sheepskin good for prevention of pressure sores?

It helps: Sheepskin helps some for the skin to get "air" to skinso it soes not stay wet and less protective. The real key in prevention is moving patient position hourly if possible to allow blod flow back into skin pressured areas.

At times....: Proper treatment/prevention is geared at keeping moisture, pressure and contamination from the area for long periods. As a prophylactic in the aware/low risk patient, sheepskin might help a little in keeping the area clean and dry.
