Prevent pressure: Not all pressure sores can be prevented. There are many risk factors that result in pressure injuries. Refer you to the national pressure ulcer advisory panel website for review, although technical, of pressure ulcers. www.npuap.org.

No pressure, no sore: That sounds simple, but i know that it is not. Avoidance of pressure sores requires constant vigilance on the part of caregivers for patients with spinal cord injuries or neurological disorders. A good rule of thumb is to avoid pressure on any one skin area for more than two hours. It takes constant good "nursing" care, but pressure sores are not inevitable. Good luck!

Most often, Yes.: Avoid prolonged pressure, optimize nutrition, avoid contamination (stool/urine) and they become far less common.
