Possibly indirectly.: Medications including antidepressants used for depression and anxiety, antihistamines, hormones, blood pressure medicines can cause dry eyes. Illnesses such as diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, scleroderma, sjogren's syndrome, thyroid disorders and vitamin a deficiency may cause dry eyes & be associated with anxiety & depression.
