A member asked:

What is a torus mandibularis ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Extra bone: This is a fancy term for extra bone in the lower jaw. Usually this extra bone sticks out from the lower jaw underneath the tongue. It is a variation of normal and do not have to be removed. If you are going to be wearing dentures, then your dentist would recommend that they be removed.
