Which kind of nose job or rhinoplasty is best ?

Best Rhinoplasty?: There is no "best rhinoplasty". Approaches vary from surgeon to surgeon (endonasal vs. Open) and each have their advantages. The "best" approach is the one that your surgeon has the best success with.

Type of Nose Jobs: This is a very loaded question. The simplest answer i can give you is that the best rhinoplasty is one that doesn't look over operated, has good structural integrity, and is proportioned to your face and takes into account your cultural background. Making sure that nasal passages easily pass air through them during breathing is vey important. There are many techniques, approaches, and variation!

Depends: Depending on the level of deformity, associated septal deformity and your health open or closed rhinoplasty may be indicated. More severe problems are more easily approached through the external approach.

Depends: For less complex cases a closed approach may be used, while in more complicated cases the open approach is more reliable. See your surgeon to discuss your options.

Rhinoplasty approach: There is no one best type of rhinoplasty. Some surgeons have amazing results using only closed approaches while others achieve the same results with open approaches. As the adage goes, there's more than one way to skin a cat. The important thing is to choose the right surgeon, not the technique.

Surgeon preference: The type of rhinoplasty will vary with the correction needed. An open procedure lifts the skin upward to enable the surgeon to visualize the underlying structures. I prefer this exposure as it is precise for sculpting of the nose. Ask your surgeon about scars and the type of procedure used. The key is to have a surgeon who is technically adept and has an artistic eye. www.artofplasticsurgery.

Rhinoplasty: The best rhinoplasty is the one tailored specifically to your nose. Be sure to have your nose evaluated by a board certified facial plastic surgeon.
