I am currently 31 with three children .i have recently found a lump in my right breast.do u think i would qualify for a mammogram at my age?

Yes : I am a dentist not a physican but can tell you from experience that if you found a lump you can definitely get a mammogram...Even at your age. Let a doctor check it out first because not every lump means breast cancer.

Yes: Absolutely. First of all, go to see our doctor or your gynecologist and have agood breat examination. Then a diagnostic mammogram as well as an ultrasound of the breast will likely be ordered for further evaluation if presnce of lump is confirmed . A biopsy. Of the lump as indicated -pending to the result of the clinical examination, mammogram and ultrasound. Good luck.

Lump: You should see your doctor about it. If imaging is warranted, at your age ultrasound, rather than mammography, is generally the imaging study of first choice.
