See surgeon : an ultrasound may be a better diagnostic imaging for you than mammogram. If lump is new, not cystic, substantial in size, a needle biopsy may be warranted no matter what mammogram shows. If your grandmother is still living she should have genetic testing (BRCA) to help determine risk of her progeny.

At your age: a Breast ultrasound may be the initial imaging modality of choice. However, if mammogram is indicated, it can usually be accomplished no matter what your chest size. In any case, the first step is to see your doctor or a breast specialist for an evaluation of the lump.
