INTERESTING: Not really sure as citalopram is an antidepressant and would not help add as it has an impact on serotonin. I would ask your doctor to explain. Was this a psychiatrist or pcp?

Diagnosis depression: Your doctor prescribed an anti depressant thinking your symptoms repressentdepressive symptoms. It may be that the doctor is not familiar with adult ADHD, especially since you have had symptoms since childhood. Have another discussion with your doctor or consult a neurologist for another opinion and treatment.
