What is the procedure for a colposcopy biopsy does the biospy get rid of the abnormal cells?

After colposcopy..: This is done after Acetic Acid is put on the cervix to show the affected area(s). It/they show up as white patch/patches which are then all removed with a biopsy, like a cone biopsy. This is then examined under a microscope to determine if it is malignant.

Identifies bad cells: It's VERY important to get a colposcopy if your pap is abnormal. A colposcopy is a speculum exam where special stains and magnifying lenses are used to look for pre-cancers on your cervix. If there are abnormalities, your GYN will take a biopsy, which is uncomfortable, but lasts
