Can a person be allergic to stents in the neck?

Highly unlikely: You can be allergic to most anything, but stents go through extensive testing, clinical studies, and are made of highly inert material. It is highly unlikely that an implantable stent of any kind could cause an allergic reaction.

Maybe: Controversial but metal allergies are suspected in coronary artery stent restenosis. May happen in stents elsewhere.
