Deconditioning: Any time you are seriously ill for an extended time it takes at least that much time to return to normal. Your body had to spend a lot of energy and resources to deal with your illness. A sensible, gradual exercise program will help you get back to your fighting form. As for the cravings - your body might need some property from these two things. It's ok to eat them in moderation.
