My son has a lump on the top of his foot. i thought it was a very large bug bite it isnt. dr doesn't know what it is . may biopsy. should i be scared?

May be : I am assuming this lump is under his skin. Biopsy will determine what it is. Most lesions are benign so until the biopsy says other ways i would not be too scared. It could be a simple ganglionic cyst to something bad such as synovial sarcoma. So biopsy will for sure help out.

Likely ganglion cyst: Ganglion cysts are excessive accumulation of material in the linings of nerves. They are more common over the wrist or top of the foot. They will sometimes disappear over time or respond to needle decompression or surgical drainage.
