A member asked:

I just had a colonic and was told i had too much acid in my stool, need more alkaline. can this cause inflammation in your body. should i bconcerned

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Garbage.: This is pseudoscience. Your stool varies in acidity/ alkalinity and there is no specific treatment for primary stool abnormalities. There is no benefit to colonics either. Inflammation is not caused by either acidity or alkalinity.
