Will insurance companies cap coverage?

If they can: Insurance companies are not your (or my) friend. They will do everything to delay or prevent payment. Most have internal "caps" on various treatments and lifetime caps on total payout. If yours denies coverage for this reason, first read your policy, consult your advisor (which could be someone in the hr department of your company) and finally argue with the insurance company. Good luck.
