A member asked:

Is it normal to have tooth extractions and a partial placed on the same day?

Yes: In some circumstances, immediate placement of a partial denture after removing the tooth (or teeth) is perfectly normal. Some folks don't want to go without having front teeth so placement in an instance such as that would be acceptable.

Yes: It is typically a routine procedure with usually no problems. Sometimes there might be a localized irritation with the denture flange rubbing or a clasp rubbing, which can be easily adjusted by the dentist.
