A member asked:

Causes of isolated right lateral ventricular of brain enlargement presenting with convulsion in a adult diabetic male?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Munro doctrine: Blockage of the opening of lateral ventricle into third ventricle (foramen of munro) has occurred. Rarely this can be due to migration of choroid plexus, into the opening. However certain benign tumors and cysts can also block this. Also brain tumors adjacent to the structure may blockade it. Sudden ventricular distention might cause seizure but low blood sugar is a more frequent cause.
