A member asked:

Hi, brain mri there are few nonspecific foci of t2/flair hyper signal in the periventricular and subcortical white matter of the frontal lobes bilaterally? i don't have blood pressure, diabetes, smoke or drink alcohol. is it ms or other conditions?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Robust work-up: It could be a number of things and requires further attention. To work it up more fully, you doctor would need to know WHY you had the MRI in the first place. Were you having symptoms? Was their trauma? Is there a genetic disease in the family? One would need to know more specifically what the spots looked like. You may need blood and spinal fluid tests to evaluate for MS.
