What is the treatment for people whose gums are receding?

Need to see: A dentist to find out the cause for the recession. Most often - the cause of malocclusion, clenching or grinding, not good oral hygiene, lack of gingival stimulation, familial history of gingival disease. If the areas are sensitive, desensitizing toothpastes can be effective, or a simple bonding (restoration) can be placed to correct the defect.

Gum questions: For receding gums you should brush wwith a soft brush, get dental cleanings regularly, and be checked for sleep apnea. You should also have your bite checked, and if the teeth are sensitive start using a desensitizing toothpaste (i prefer colgate sensitive).
