Surprise!: Dr thornalley in england has shown that diabetics excrete large amounts of vitamin b1 in their urine. There is evidence that taking large doses of vitamin b 1 will prevent (and perhaps even reverse) diabetic complications. Even better is a vitamin b1 derivative known as benfotiamine.
