A member asked:

What causes foot pain after a sprained ankle has healed?

Swelling: The residual swelling creates pressure on the nerves to the foot and ankle and thereby the pain. Give it some time, a few months, for the swelling to go down and the pain will go away. If not see your podiatrist.

May not be healed.: If you still have pain, it may not be healed yet. Have your feet evaluated by a professional and get the appropriate treatment.
