Severe anemia: One can die from severe anemia from massive acute bleeding due to hypoxia - decrease oxygenation to vitals organ that resulting in organ failure . When anemia iis a slow ongoing/chronic process- our body can compensate. When it is severe enough- enlargement of the heart /cardiomegaly and congestive heart failure can happen. Kidney failre and death can happen in severe hemolytic anemia.
