Yes: But everything in moderation. Using an otc rinse or a prescription Fluoride rinse (5000 ppm) would be fine. Would not recommend using a Fluoride varnish daily.

Yes: One has no affect on the other. Make sure to: 1. Wear retainer exactly as prescribed. 2. Using Fluoride exactly as prescribed. Follow your orthodontist's instructions to the letter.
