Suggestion: Have your dentist/orthodontist repair it or replace it. They don't last forever. Scotch tape won't work, and if your teeth shift, you'll be sorry you did not fix the problem in a timely manner.

Scotch tape: Scotch tape will peel and has no strength to support a fractured retainer. Please call the practitioner who made your retainer for repair or replacement. The fee will be only a small fraction of the cost to restraighten your teeth if retainer is not worn exactly as prescribed. Please call the Dentist or Orthodontist of record for support.

Not recommended: You should call your orthodontist and get an emergency appointment to temporarily fix the problem until it can be more formally addressed.
