What is the difference between hysteroscopy and polypectomy?

Yes: A diagnostic hysteroscopy is done inspect the uterine cavity by endoscopy with access through the cervix and can be done without anesthesia. An operative hysteroscopy is done when there is need to remove uterine polyps, fibroids or other masses and is done under general anesthesia.

Hysteroscopy: Hysteroscopy is to introduce a thin scope into uterus through the vagina and cervix, so we can see the polyp in the cavity of the uterus. We then use a loop through the hysteroscope to shave off and retrieve the polyp.
