More information: Is the swelling on the same side where submandibular gland removed or the opposite side. If the swelling on the opposite side , then it is an infection independent from your surgery and should respond to 7-10 days of Clindamycin , if the swelling is on the same side , do not expect to see pus from duct since the gland has been surgically removed, so can't give further recommendation.

Still infected: The area is still infected and probably needs another dose of antibiotics.
