Weight loss: If you eat 500 calories less per day than you expend, you will lose 1 pound every 7 days. 3500 calories is 1 pound of fat. Same goes in the other direction. You will need to both increase your exercise and review your food plan to balance things out. Good luck to you!

Consider Options: It would be good to talk with you psychiatrist about possible treatment options if you are experiencing consistent weight gain despite efforts to put limits on it. Some of your discussion will have to do with the reasons for the use of deapkote, dose needed, and history of trying other meds. Be sure to let your psychiatrist know about your concerns.
