What are the chances of getting cervical cancer when hpv high risk positive?

Very low: I tell my patients that we can pretty much eliminate the risk of them getting cancer from hpv if they follow-up regularly as directed with their primary doctor or ob/gyn. Hpv changes cells of the cervix, vagina, vulva, and anus that are detectable and treatable before cancer develops.
