What if patient evaluated by pt dr. shows all symptoms of sciatica but ct scan & mri shows normal?

?sacro-iliac dysfnct: Referred pain from the back down a leg can be associated with hip or sacro-iliac problems. Also, there are occasional cases of peripheral sciatica, secondary to compression in buttock or thigh, such as pyriformis syndrome. Consult with an osteopathic physician to get fully diagnosed and treated.

Sciatica from hip?: You can have sciatica type symptoms arising from compression of the sciatic nerve in the posterior hip region underneath the piriformis muscle.

Piriformis : Piriformis syndrome is an exception. This imbalance has been shown to cause compression of the sciatic nerve with resulting sciatica.

Spine Pain Options: This pain in the distribution as you suggested is the result of an irritated nerve or facet joints or other injury typically in the lumbar spine (low back) which are caused by herniated disks, spinal stenosis or degenerative disc disease, etc requiring further evaluation by a spine specialist and may be candidate for facet injections/radiofrequency ablation and epidural steroid injection.
