Consider Acanthosis: Acanthosis nigricans can be seen in healthy people, or related to medical problems. Some are genetically inherited. Can be seen with obesity, Insulin resistance and metabolic/endocrine disorders. It can be related to some meds and hormone treatments. Usually appears slowly with no symptoms other than skin changes. No treatment except treat underlying cause.When related to obesity fades w/ wtloss.
