A member asked:

Talesemia is genetic blood deasease, what the chances of my children to get talesemia if their mother is a carrier and i'm not?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Could be carriers: Carriers have one normal paired with one carrier (altered) gene.During the formation, there is 50% chance that either will make it into the egg. When paired with your normal gene at conception you have those two possibilities. So with every pregnancy , you have equal risk of producing a carrier child or one with normal genes.
