My 9 1/2-wk-old granddaughter has started reaching for toys - but does it almost exclusively with her right hand only. should we be concerned?

No: This is normal at this age.

Probably not: If she is not using her left arm at all then yes. (i don't mean for just reaching- i mean for anything) she is just 2 1/2 months old and is learning new things every day. She should be able to lift her head up well and support herself on both arms. She should be moving arms and legs equally. She may preferentially reach with her right hand now but will go with her left soon.
