Insomnia: Hi, first a comprehensive evaluation needs to happen to find the cause for insomnia. A psychiatrist, primary doctor or sleep physician should be able to do this. If the problem is with sleep onset then melatonin can be helpful 3-10 mg at night( otc)if the problem is fragmented sleep then trazodone 25-300mg at night should work or Mirtazapine 7.5 mg at night( prescribed). Read about sleep hygiene.
