Possible: Depends on the size of the bone graft. However usually after 1 week there should not be any bleeding. You may have some periodic trickling of blood sometimes during the second week.

Sometimes happens: Sometimes there are small tears in the delicate membrane that we are expanding during the surgery. They will heal by themselves and rarely are a problem. As someone else said, depends on the size of the graft needed. If you're worried, call your surgeon's office and ask. Iam sure they would want you to be comfortable and they would know best since they did the procedure for you.

Sometimes: Following a sinus graft procedure, sometimes patients may experience a bloody nose, or blood in the mucous. The bleeding could be caused by a small tear in the sinus membrane, or it could be the result of a small vessel which has ruptured during the procedure. Therefore, you should not panic. This does not mean the bone graft is infected or is failing. Stay the course !
