My daughter's overweight. exercising seems short breathed.clear auscult, cbc ok, no flaring, no signs of resp distress, no ashtm.pulmonar or obesity?

Both: Obesity can lead to increased work of breathing during exercise.Partially because it is harder for the lungs to properly expand, and also because it takes more work to move the overweight body, both for the lungs and heart. She needs to lose weight in a healthy manner.Consult with her doctor.

How much overweight?: Her shortness of breath may be due to obesity and deconditioning of muscels. It would be prudent to consult your doctor to rule out an underlying condition and then engage in gradully increasing physical acitivity as well as caloric restriction. Joining a support group may help as it is not an easy issue deal with. Your daughter needs to take charge of her life.
