Probably: Anything can cause side effects. Any SSRI can prolong your QT. Zoloft could cause palpitations also. People go on these drugs all the time and don’t have a problem. The biggest issue with the QT is when you are also taking other drugs that prolong the QT like some antibiotics or other psych meds. Make sure your other meds are ok and speak with your doctor but it should be fine.
