Just fractured my fibula and heel. tore a few ligaments. i have temp cast until i see the ortho doctor. burning in my heel. is this normal?

Compartment syndrome: Tingling/burning or numbness in the heel after such injury needs to be evaluated fast. If your foot is cold, pink/purble as well you need to go to the er so that compartment syndrome could be ruled out. You could have also sustained a nerve damage.

If you : Fractured the heel, i don't think burning would be uncommon, i would just make sure the cast is not too tight....Check color of tips of toes to make sure they are normal. If cast feels too tight you must let a doctor know.
