Yes- usually good: Turmeric has many health benefits. It thins blood, meaning it reduces risk of blood clots & reduces blood viscosity. Thus, like aspirin, it reduces risk of heart attacks & strokes. It improves the rate of blood flow through microcapillaries, increasing delivery of oxygen & nutrients to our tissues. But if you are having surgery or have a tendency to bleed then this could be harmful. See comment:.

Yes. Possibly. None.: Has been reported to inhibit platelet aggregation. So should be used with caution in those who are taking antiplatetet and anticoagulant medications. The amount found in foods is likely inconsequential. No proven benefit, but theoretically a good antioxidant.
