Could omega 3 be a good treatment to strenghten the tmj after an atrhroscopy?

Possible: There are no research studies available that shows the effectiveness on omega 3 and tmj. Omega3 is a great supplement for the body. So it wouldn't hurt.

.????: Omega 3 has been shown to be effective in many things for the human body but...I don't think I have ever heard about a connection with the tmj. Talk to the oral surgeon that did the arthroscope or is going to do it and see what they advise to keep the joint healthy following surgery.

Possibly: Omega 3 may involve taking for quite awhile. Often, the omegas are taken in a triple dose of omega 3, 6 and 9. As far as strengthening the tmj, i would be a bit skeptical, especially just relying on the omega 3. The oral surgeon who did the surgery should definitely be consulted.

Unlikely: Omega 3s are good for general health. Unlikely it will influence success of arthroscopy. The experience and the skill of the surgeon most important. And following post op instructions.
