Yes: Overt symptoms of hyperactivity & impulsivity tend to turn into an inner sense of restlessness. Symptoms of inattention predominate. Distractibility can persist & cause problems with completing tasks at work $ home. If a person has learned organizational skills & time management by this point, (s)he may choose to discontinue medications, monitoring for an increase in symptoms.

ADHD and Aging: Yes, it does. In some cases, people adapt to it and learn how to concentrate and focus - some college students I have worked with even abandon their medications as they interfere with social functioning. Inner psychological discomfort may occur and take the form of irritability and may be mistaken for anxiety. There is research needed on this topic.
