What is the best medicine for gastroesophageal reflux?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Diet & lifestyle: Meds only reduce the discomfort / injury associated with gerd. Dietary and behavior modification are what's needed to address gerd. Select better food, smaller portion and keeping your wt in check will serve you well long term. Occasional use of otc meds like Zantac (ranitidine) or Prilosec is fine but you need to see a doc if your problems persist.
