New Balance sneakers: I prefer running nb sneakers for heel pain because of the added cushion to the foot as well as the stable heel counter used by new balance.

Depends...: You need to determine what is causing your heel pain. Podiatrists will examine and treat the cause of your heel pain but can also recommend proper long-term support and shoes to avoid recurrence.

Many possibilities: Heel pain is most often caused by plantar fasciitis, a condition that is sometimes also called heel spur syndrome when a spur is present. Heel pain may also be due to other causes, such as, infection, tendonitis, arthritis, stress fracture, nerve irritation, retained foreign body, bone tumor, or a cyst. Have it evaluated by a professional and get the appropriate treatment.

Low heel/cushioned: By wearing a shoe with low heel or a heel lift it will take some of the pressure off the heel. There are many over the counter heel lifts/cushions available. Heel pain is usually due to plantar fasciitis which reponds to stretching achilles and foot exercises albeit slowly.

Not enough info: It's a spur in the back of heel open back shoes help like crocs. Bottom of heel it's not the shoe that helps but rather an insert to support arch.
