Couple of things: Splint the toe to the toe beside it to limit the motion. Use ice to reduce swelling. Take over the counter aleve see a podiatrist for help.

Rest: Depending on which toe is broken you may be able to splint it. You should have an xray to determine if it is in the right position. Sometimes buddy taping actually opens up a fracture site making it worse. Of course get off your feet and wear comfortable shoes.
