No BBT's: We don't recommend BBT or predictor kits. They stress patients out enormously. The BBT only gives us two pieces of information: cycle length (should be 27-29d) and if it is a perfect chart it does document ovulation pretty well. Otherwise the swings and gyrations have no meaning. Probably 30-50% of people with abnl chart ovulate. Sex ev 48hrs roughly cycle day 11-18 is best.

Ditch the thermomete: Throw out your thermometer and just try to have sex twice a week. The BBT is a myth. It will not help you to conceive and sex does not have to be precisely timed to conceive. If you are concerned about the time it is taking to conceive it is time to get some professional advice. Find a reputable reproductive endocrinologist and get an evaluation. Best of luck!
