A member asked:

Can we use eeg and/or qeeg for infants to map which part of the body an infant is experiencing pain?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Unfortunately no: The test measures electrical activities of the brain and can make diagnosis of seizure etc...But unfortunately it is not for diagnosing pain. Maybe it does have that ability, but we don't understand it and thus don't know how to interpret whether certain brain electrical activities represent pain etc...It would be an awesome/very useful device--i would order one. Consult doc. Good luck.
