Extra tooth: An extra tooth is not uncommon, its called a supernumery tooth. It depends if the tooth is causing problems for example crowding of the remaining teeth.

Supernumerary: In general, most supernumerary teeth should be removed as they normally are not the same size as other teeth, nor do they usually add an function to your occlusion. Having said that, not all supernumerary teeth should be removed. Location, ease of removal and risks need to be included into the decision making process.
