No: You should avoid hard rinsing after extractions. Swishing lightly with salt water should not be painfully. Salt water is preferred over alchohol based mouth rinses also

NO: Salt water rinses are good simple treatment for any mouth wound. Helps reduce inflammation. However, should not be used during first 24 hours after an extraction.
