Time to see: The foot doctor. May need an x-ray. And your diagnosis certainly may be right.

Foot/ankle pain: Podiatrists see this everyday; foot and ankle pain are very common and can be caused by a variety of both medical and podiatric problems. Is there a history of an injury? Is there a history of a sudden exercise program without proper training? Is there a family history of gout? Of other medical problems? These all have to evaluated by a podiatrist along with your primary.
