Ca: The important distinction is whether these symptoms started just after kidney surgery (acute nerve injury) or gradually and progressive (such as with cancer spread).

Lumbar plexus injury: Occasionally removal of kidney may result in collateral damage of lumbar nerve roots. The extend of this injury may be determined with ncv/emg test. Next step is to get to a good pain clinic.
