See your doctor: Does it happen when you flex your neck or turn your head? You should see your doctor.

Sounds like you : Are experiencing muscular symptoms by the distribution of your pain that can be just from a muscular source, a disc herniation, or degenerative issues involving the discs &/or joints of your neck. Sometimes heat & massage can help as well as otc meds if no medical reasons not to take them. If the symptoms don't improve with theses measures, then see your doctor.
