Should my ankle still be swollen a week after injury? i fell and twisted it, and its still sore and swollen.

Yes: Ankle sprains, and depending on the severity, can maintain swelling for up to 3-4 weeks. If you did not elevate and ice immediately after injury, or take preventative measures to brace the ankle, then the swelling will continue to worsen over time, due to the instability.

It is possible: At some point if there is pain as opposed to just soreness you may want to have it checked out by a foot doctor/ orthopedist.
